### WHY AND HOW BECOME A MEMBER OF AFERA?

Requests for membership have to be addressed to the Secretariat. The Secretariat informs the members of the Steering Committee about each such request. If the Secretariat does not receive any written objections within thirty days after having informed the members of the Steering Committee, a request for active membership is considered to be accepted. The applicant will receive a written confirmation bearing the date as from which he is registered as a member.

Membership is of interest to any company or organisation involved in the European self-adhesive tape industry. Such involvement may stretch from the supplying of raw materials, the manufacturing of equipment and the producing of self-adhesive tapes to stimulating of scientific research.
AFERA membership offers added value by the structural contacts between the different (market) parties, which are not easily realised in day to day company life. Active participation in AFERA brings the benefit of regular reflection and a mutual exchange of ideas resulting in a better understanding of business developments and opportunities. AFERA is offering a platform for business development with respect to marketing and technological issues and is important for all those interested in a pro-active attitude concerning environmental matters.
Within the bounds of normal commercial interest, AFERA encourages members to share information about their professional experiences that might be of considerable interest to other members.
Last but not least, a powerful AFERA will be able to generate the most efficient reaction to any external influence, that might put pressure on the European self-adhesive tape market as a whole.

A strong and active AFERA is an asset of vital importance for the European self-adhesive tape industry. Your involvement is essential.
